Freedomwerks Home Services was tasked by property management to dig up the old corrugated pipe that the downspouts terminated into, and replace it with something that wouldn’t clog up and could be easily cleaned out if needed. My solution was to use 4″ PVC pipe buried underground and terminating into an NDS pop up emitter that has a removable top for cleaning. I had to dig carefully and not cut any of the several electrical conductors and sprinkler pipes that run through the area I was working in. The end result was a better functioning downspout system that quickly removes water from the gutter and allows it to safely terminate away from the building envelope.
